A three-year commitment to supporting Yolŋu people in East Arnhem Land to develop digital skills, build confidence with technology and explore future careers in IT.
At New Future IT, we've always believed that where you live shouldn't limit the opportunities available to you.
It's a belief that sits at the heart of how we work across regional and remote Australia, and one we're proud to put into action through a new three-year partnership with Dhimurru Aboriginal Corporation.
Together, we're working to help create meaningful pathways for Yolŋu people to develop practical digital skills, build their confidence with technology and discover the career opportunities available within the information technology industry.
Because technology isn't just about the systems businesses use. It's about the opportunities it can create for people and communities.
A Partnership Focused on People and Opportunity
Dhimurru plays an important role in the East Arnhem Land community, and we're proud to be strengthening our relationship through a shared commitment to developing local capability.
Over the next three years, our partnership will focus on supporting opportunities for Yolŋu people to engage with technology, grow their digital knowledge and explore where those skills could take them.
For some, that may mean becoming more confident using technology in everyday life or work. For others, it may spark an interest in pursuing further learning or a future career in IT.
The important thing is creating opportunities to explore what's possible.
We know that potential exists in every community. But turning that potential into opportunity requires access, encouragement and people willing to share their knowledge.
That's what this partnership is about.
Creating Technology Pathways in Regional and Remote Australia
The technology industry continues to evolve, bringing new opportunities across cybersecurity, cloud services, digital infrastructure, technical support and emerging technologies.
But for people living in regional and remote communities, access to industry knowledge and career pathways can look very different from what is available in larger cities.
As a technology business born and built in the Northern Territory, we understand the importance of creating opportunities closer to home.
We also understand that building a stronger regional technology workforce isn't just about attracting skilled people from elsewhere.
It's about recognising and developing the talent that already exists within our communities.
By sharing knowledge, encouraging digital learning and helping people understand the different directions a career in technology can take, we hope to contribute to a future where more Yolŋu people can see themselves working within the industry.
Three Years to Build Something Meaningful
One of the most important parts of this partnership is its long-term focus.
Developing skills, building confidence and exploring career opportunities doesn't happen overnight.
It takes time, relationships and a genuine commitment to supporting people as they learn and grow.
Our three-year partnership with Dhimurru provides an opportunity to work together towards these goals, building on our existing relationship and shared commitment to the East Arnhem Land community.
We're looking forward to learning together, sharing our experience and supporting opportunities that can make a meaningful difference.
Technology Is Only Part of the Story
At New Future IT, we talk a lot about IT with EQ.
For us, that means understanding that behind every technology decision are people, businesses and communities with their own goals and challenges.
Sometimes the most valuable thing we can do isn't installing new technology or solving a technical problem.
It's sharing what we know, helping someone build confidence or opening their eyes to a career they may never have considered.
We're grateful to Dhimurru for the opportunity to work together on this initiative and look forward to what we can achieve over the next three years.
Because the future of regional technology shouldn't just be delivered to our communities. It should be built with the people who call them home.
