Pushing Innovation, Connection, and Community: LEADER APAC Forum in Da Nang, Vietnam

Last week, our Directors, Jesse and Jeremy, travelled to Da Nang, Vietnam, to attend the LEADER APAC Forum. A premier event bringing together global technology partners, innovators, and industry leaders.

Set on the stunning central coast of Vietnam, Da Nang provided the perfect backdrop for a forum focused on growth, connection, and the future of technology. With breathtaking beaches, vibrant culture, and world-class hospitality, the region showcased both warmth and innovation — a fitting environment for discussions that shape the future of IT.

For New Future IT, this trip was about more than attending an event.

 It was about looking ahead.

 It was about exploring new ways to bring value to regional Australian businesses.

 And it was about strengthening the partnerships that help us deliver cutting-edge solutions across Australia.

Building partnerships that power progress

Throughout the forum, Jesse and Jeremy connected with a wide range of industry leaders who are shaping the future of technology across the Asia-Pacific region. It was an inspiring opportunity to sit down with the people behind the products and explore how their innovations can translate into real value for our clients back home.

They spent time with the team from Leader Systems, including Jaimie, discussing new programs and ways we can continue delivering more capability and affordability to regional businesses. Conversations with MSI’s Shirley gave us deeper insight into upcoming hardware advancements and how these new developments can expand the options available to Australian customers.

Power protection and business continuity were strong themes too. Chats with Atish and Rob from PowerShield highlighted how their bespoke UPS solutions can be tailored to the unique challenges faced by Territory organisations, particularly in remote areas where reliability is non-negotiable. And when it came to cybersecurity and resilience, meeting Yanko and Darren from Acronis provided a valuable look into the next generation of security and disaster recovery systems, especially as cyber risks continue to evolve.

Across every conversation, one thing was clear: innovation thrives when people come together. Each discussion opened up new opportunities, new ideas, and new ways to strengthen the solutions we deliver — helping us stay ahead of emerging technology and ensuring our clients benefit from the best the industry has to offer.

The event brought together an impressive group of attendees, leaders, innovators, and technology thinkers all working towards uplifting businesses and communities through smarter, more accessible technology.

The final evening wrapped up beautifully.

Theo and the Leader Systems team hosted a special closing dinner in Hoi An, where guests enjoyed Vy’s Market Restaurant followed by the spectacular Hoi An Memories Show. It was a night of connection, culture, and inspiring conversations about the role technology plays in driving positive change across our part of the world.

And of course, beachside in Da Nang never disappoints,  a perfect place to reflect on how far our industry has come and where it's heading next.
